Describe the role of plants in the water and carbon cycles.

Plants play a role in the water cycle because of transpiration. Transpiration is basically plant sweat. When it's hot, plant sweat is evaporated into the the atmosphere.

In the carbon cycle plants perform photosynthesis, this is when plants remove CO2 from the atmosphere.
