Using the technique in the model above, find the missing segments in this 30°-60°-90° right triangle. AD = 6 DB = 2 AC =
Hi @tabitha ! Welcome to QuestionCove :) do you have any pictures for this problem? you can attach one in a comment or draw it out with the buttons below
hi im new
Indeed and welcome :) I don't know what your right triangle looks like could you attach a picture or draw it for me using the buttons "Draw" or "Attach File" below?

They meant to tag @Angle :P
@AngeI yeah sorry
@Angle i have drawn it

using the fact that all angles in a triangle add up to 180 we can identify the missing angles in the two smaller triangles |dw:1513046533181:dw|
now, treating the entire triangle as a giant 30-60-90 triangle you can use the side ratios: side across from the 30 angle is x side across from the 60 angle is x * (\sqrt{3}\) side across from the 90 angle is 2x since the side across from 2x is 8 you can solve for x and find the other two sides

to find CD you can apply a similar process to the smaller triangle on the right hand side
