the question makes it sound like "water and carbon dioxide" magically turns into "glucose and oxygen" but this is fundamentally false. what I am assuming they mean is that "During photosynthesis, water and carbon dioxide using energy from light feed the plant in a way that the plant produces glucose and oxygen as a byproduct."
