Can somebody please help me
so we did rows 1 and 2 earlier, let me know if you still want to go over those https://questioncove.com/study#/updates/5a29eec523435f49ceecec00 for row 3, start by expanding the intercept form using foil to get standard form
for the second row intercept form i did not get
iirc it wasn't factorable and we had to use software to get something :/
well for row 2 standard form y=-2x^2-4x+3 vertex form y-5=-2(x+1)^2
The intercept I did not get
I'll ask around and see what others have to say about it
Sounds good
well for row three in the meantime, the vertex form is this right?
yeah, that's it, since vertex form is already given
No i meant the third row where the intercept is given would this be the vertex form?
yeah, but since the question formats their vertex forms like y + k = (x-h)^2 I would just take that output and add (25/4) to both sides
so y+25=(x-1/2)^2-4
dw:1513187527564:dw
dw:1513187532748:dw
oh okay so that would be the vertex form for row three
yes
what about standard
just take the intercept form and expand it using foil
y=25+4x?
y = (x+2)(x-3) = ?
dw:1513188057373:dw
x^2+3x+2x+6
@Vocaloid
@563blackghost
make sure you are considering the negative sign in front of the 3 you can re-write the function as y = (x+2)(x + (-3) ) if that makes it easier
dw:1513263359949:dw
x^2-x-6?
Sorry I was afk
@Vocaloid
Yeah that's correct
so would that be the standard form for the third row?
Yes
okay and did you by chance get to figure out the intercept form for the second row
Not yet
You could tag sillybilly maybe
