ok give me a minute

demolisher1224:

A parallel line has the slope -5 cuz the equation in the form of y=mx+b has m as the slope. Now you know the equation of your parallel line is y=-5x+b To find b, sub in -6 for x and 3 for y: 3=(-5*-6)+b 3-30=b b=-27 The equation of the parallel line through (-6,3) is y=-5x-27

demolisher1224:

hope this helps
