rosalina134:

Draw a triangle with vertices A(0, 4), B(2, -2), and C(-2, -2). Apply a dilation centered at the origin with scale factor to this triangle and draw the resulting triangle, A'B'C'. In complete sentences, describe the following: The relationship between corresponding sides in terms of their lengths. The relationship between corresponding sides in terms of their orientations. The relationship between corresponding angles in terms of their measures.

SourMunchkin7806:

Give me a second.

SourMunchkin7806:

Wait were you the one i helped yesterday

adovbush:

Lol

rosalina134:

Yeah I think so ^-^

SourMunchkin7806:

ok...hang on a sec let me look at the questions

SourMunchkin7806:

ok so do me a favor and make a desmos of triangle ABC....do you remember how to make them connected with lines

rosalina134:

I'll go to my previous question u helped with and try to figure it out again :x

rosalina134:

Because I don't remember how to :')

SourMunchkin7806:

just use the link i sent you and change the numbers in the graph i made...the one with two sides and change those...if you want i can make it for you

rosalina134:

If you don't mind making it.. I can't even find my question from yesterday to find the link <-<

SourMunchkin7806:

Ok give me a second lol

SourMunchkin7806:

Ok, so..... https://www.desmos.com/calculator/ocbetat2wn ...there is the triangle ABC...now how much would you like to dialate it

rosalina134:

It says it needs to be centered at the origin with scale factor 1/2

SourMunchkin7806:

ok so tell me what that would be and ill make the second triangle

rosalina134:

Okay so i am assuming it would just be half what ABC is.. so I'm not sure about A' but wouldn't B' be 1, -1 and C' be -1, -1

rosalina134:

Oh it would be 0,2 for A'

SourMunchkin7806:

alright let me make the second triangle.

adovbush:

How do u unsubscribe from a question? *eye roll*

SourMunchkin7806:

you cant gotta wait till its closed

SourMunchkin7806:

https://www.desmos.com/calculator/wrcoe3xu5f ok here it is

adovbush:

aw ok thx

rosalina134:

Okay but what about for the question portion of it.. <-<

SourMunchkin7806:

Well you tell me, what are the relationships between the two involving the lengths orientation and measurs

rosalina134:

Idk.. They both have the same shape their measures really are not similar considering everything is half but it makes up a figure that is identical to ABC.

rosalina134:

Obviously I know thats not what type of answer my teacher is wanting, but thats all I can think of x'd

SourMunchkin7806:

Well they are similar in all of them because the only difference is that one is smaller then the other
