Both Thomas Jefferson and Andrew Jackson claimed to represent the interests of the “common man” and laid claim to the adjective “democratic,” especially in contrast to their political opponents. Which one had the better claim to these titles? Support your position using specific historical evidence.

Thomas Jefferson. Jefferson had obviously won the election and had more of the "common mans" interest. Andrew Jackson had some of the common mans interest but he had less than Jefferson. Jefferson had views that aligned with other people (mostly the common men).
