Read the paragraph. The novel Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen is a classic because its message is enduring. The novel is similar to her other works. The novel examines the pitfalls of preconceived. The novel has had a number of adaptations, theatrical renditions, and sequels, but the theme is always the same. How should this paragraph be revised? The supporting sentences need to adhere to the main idea. The sequence of sentences needs to be changed. The paragraph needs a main idea to guide the sentences. The beginnings of the sentences need to be varied.
@Shadow I think it's D but I want to make sure.
Why do you think it is D?
because almost all of the sentences start with "The"
I think they should be varied
That is a good point. All of the (4) sentence start with "the." Let me explore another option though. Do you think that the supporting sentences back up the main idea of the novel being "a classic because its message is enduring"
oh sorry, yes all four
IMO, they do
Then that quashes the first three options, as you would only need to rearrange the sequence of sentences if it would better support the main idea in regard to the arrangement of the information being presented. Lets go with D, and hope that they wanted us to identify the lack of creative literacy :)
:) ok
