good, so e^(7+3x) = 5/4 take the natural log of each side to cancel out the e^ part then isolate x
-2.25895 or -2.3
let's leave it in terms of ln for now 7+3x = ln(5/4) then 3x = ln(5/4) - 7 and x = [ln(5/4) - 7]/3 = your answer
