Hmm I don't remember my geom's so well >.<

But I think like uhhhh.. since these lines are parallel on the ends...
these ratios will be equivalent:The ratio of AE to AB should be equivalent to the ratio DE to CD because of... math.

And the do some maths to solve for x.
To get rid of the denominators, multiply by the LCM of 10 and 4 which is 20.
\[\large\rm 20\left(\frac{2x+10}{10}\right)=20\left(\frac{x+3}{4}\right)\]giving us,\[\large\rm 2(2x+10)=5(x+3)\]And then a few steps after that should lead to x.
