for left/right horizontal transformations a negative sign means a translation to the right
so am i correct?
check your problem again
first one is good second one is a vertical transformation not a horizontal transformation, so it needs to have a negative sign

f(x) - 5/3 is a ~~~vertical~~~ transformation not a horizontal transformation for vertical transformations f(x) - A is down and f(x) + A is up
