point M has to be drawn first since the later steps reference it

after point M is drawn, the compass must be widened to JK in order to draw the correct length

with the compass on M, draw the arc

label the point on the arc as N

connect MN with a straightedge (this finishes the line)

I'm not great at these either, but my tip would be to think about what constructions must be done first based on the later steps, and what the final step would be based on the desired construction
