quick quantum problem - just want to know if I have the right idea
@sillybilly123 I know chemistry isn't your thing but I was wondering if you could tell me if I'm approaching this correctly I = R^2 * (mH * mCl)/(mtotal) and then I would plug this into the formula to find R?
Voca this is not at all **quantumy**, IMHO, but I think you are drawing the right intuition in terms of the physics.
I end up getting 5.23 * 10^(-24) m which seems kind of small? did I mess up the units somewhere?
Voca I have no idea :( Lol !!
i found a page on this on hyperphysics, plugged in all the stuff, and my answer is exact same as yours FWIW: http://hyperphysics.phy-astr.gsu.edu/hbase/molecule/rotrig.html#c3
and it's an oscillator so i got that wrong too 🙄
oh, I ended up getting the right answer eventually, I just realized I forgot to convert amu to kg
TU for update :)
