Help with this last question
this is literally 5 questions
Its a four,five part question :/
well the instructions are somewhat self-explanatory part I) a and b, find the constant term (the number not being multiplied to a variable), and then list all of its factors part II) repeat the same thing with the leading coefficient part III) apply the rational root theorem, list all combinations of (factor from part II)/(factor from part I)
5 for a
leading coefficient is 4
@563blackghost
it also asks to list out the factors
factors of 5 and 4
or x-5?
factors of 5 and 4
factors of 5 are 1 and 5
keep going for 4
1,2,4
good, now we find all the possible roots by listing every combination of (factor from Ib)/(factor from IIb) including +/- signs so factors from Ib) ±1,±5 factors from 2b) ±1, ±2, ±4 so ±1/1, ±5/1, ±5/2, etc. until all possibilities are exhausted
should be 6 total
so +-1/+-4 +-1/+-2
good, keep going
+-5/+-4
good so ±1/1, ±1/2, ±1/4, ±5/1, ±5/2, ±5/4 are the 6 possibilities
