iosangel:

Compare and contrast producers and consumers in an ecosystem.

JustSaiyan:

A producer is the organism that makes it's own food, and pretty much keep to themselves. The consumers are the organism that prey upon the producer for food, as they cannot produce their own.

JustSaiyan:

An example of this would be a bush, generating its own food, making it the producer, and then the gorilla, eating the leaves of this bush, being the consumer.

iosangel:

if i were to draw a food chain could it be like this tree-apple- squirrel

JustSaiyan:

Not quite. Squirrels do not feed off of apples. However, it could go like this: Tree - nuts - squirrel

iosangel:

oh, thanks!

JustSaiyan:

You're welcome.
