5. A mutation that results in antibiotic resistance is a _____. neutral mutation helpful mutation environmental mutation harmful mutation
If anyone could work as a team to help answer these posttest questions that would be great!
#Teamwork!
I believe it is a harmful mutation.
If you can't use antibiotics, I don't think it would be helpful lol
6. What is the chromosome theory of inheritance? Hybrid pairs of chromosomes combine to form offspring. Genes are carried from parents to offspring on chromosomes. Chromosomes are carried from parents to offspring on hybrids. Codominant genes combine to form new hybrids.
[this is a old question but I hope I'm still helpful :S] for the first question, "harmful vs helpful" has to be seen from the perspective of the organism not us as humans - for a bacteria, antibiotic resistance is a good thing
I'm actually going to ask for a second opinion on #6 b/c I'm torn between two choices @justsaiyan and @arcadious
I am pretty sure that it's B, Chromosomes carrying the genetic offspring.
Not sure if my answer is even relevant 8 hours later, but I am still going to add it.
