Quantum Mechanics - Question about Operators

Vocaloid:

@sillybilly123 I'm kind of confused where the A^ operator went, I've noticed that sometimes they drop operators in my textbook and I want to know the mathematical justification behind it hope this isn't a stupid question

Vocaloid:

@divinesolar I've heard you can help w/ QM ;;

sillybilly123:

for operator and eigenfunction \(\hat A\), with eigenvalue \(a\), you have \(\hat A \psi_a = a \psi_a\) So you just swap them over and apply the normalisation condition \(\int \psi_a^* ~ \psi_a ~ dx = 1\) I think :)

Vocaloid:

oh that's a lot easier than I thought thanks

DivineSolar:

QP not QM.
