And that thought process is logical. A second generation, whilst growing up in a household with parents that likely speak a seconds language, would likely learn English primarily. Their parents would learn it in order to climb the job ladder. Parents wanting the best for their kids would likely want the same. Thus, they would learn English as their first. And since they will be in an American education system, they will be surrounded by American individuals, and its culture. This includes clothes (fashion) and sports.
