Vocaloid:

U = 1/2 kx^2 solve for k

zarkam21:

5=1/2(k)(0.5)^2

Vocaloid:

good, solve for k

Vocaloid:

k has to be a positive number, it can't be 0

Vocaloid:

5=(1/2)(k)(0.5)^2 if k is 0 that would make the entire right side 0, right? and 5 =/= 0 so k must be something else divide both sides by (1/2) then divide both sides by 0.5^2

zarkam21:

Did it by hand this time, k=40?

Vocaloid:

good, k = 40

I got something a little different impulse = delta p = final momentum - initial momentum = ?

zarkam21:

B

Vocaloid:

change in velocity = 5 - 3 = 2 m/s so change in momentum = ?

zarkam21:

C

zarkam21:

ugh
