In a minimum of 100 words, describe the plot of a problem novel with which you are familiar. Include background information about the characters and setting as well as the dilemma that's the central focus of the novel.
Google the definition of "problem novel". Choose a book you've read that fits the definition of the term.
ok
Have you chosen?
would a book about cats that hat eachother because they are rivals work?
No, I don't quite think so. x'D
The social novel, also known as the social problem (or social protest) novel, is a "work of fiction in which a prevailing social problem, such as gender, race, or class prejudice, is dramatized through its effect on the characters of a novel".
um so like ummmm
5th wave??
if not i have other books i have read
I've never read the 5th Wave.
itsd where the aleins have taken over the worlds and the military is trianing the people to kill the "aleiens" but it turns oiut the aliens have been working with the military and the aleinds want to kill off the humans
so they take this girls brother to train him and she goes to find him and some of themilitary kids end up realizing whats happing so they leave the military and idk what happens after there is like 2 more books
No, that doesn't fit. Think more towards something that would actually happen in real life. Racial discrimination, that sort of thing.
um okay
outsiders??
would that work?
I don't know what that is.
Here, let me explain differently. Character vs society. Let's use myself as an example. Being that I am bisexual, a lot of society frowns down at me because it isn't considered "normal".
@Shadow
i dont want to do romeo and juliet because thats what they want but im like nu boi
Well, Kyle, I do believe you have made the assignment that much more difficult for yourself. x'D

Technically you could do the 5th wave, since there is racism against aliens.
Yes?
I CAN DO 13 REASONS WHYYY
13 Reasons Why, huh? Neat-oh.
13 Reasons Why could work. I've only seen the TV show, but I'm sure the books would be sufficient.
I haven't taken an interest in either but I know the general idea.

In the TV show at least, the conclusion that some of the "reasons" (people) came to, was that if they hadn't done what they did, or had been a friend, there would have been a different outcome.
Oof. This could have applied to that school shooting in Florida yesterday. Tragic.
yeah i heard aboutthat guys need to stop being pricks

You can interpret it that way, but at the end of the day, it was their choice to do what they did.
