It would be point A. One great example, is when Voyager 2 was shot out into space in 1977 it would come into contact with Jupiter 1979 in which it had a boost. You see it would use its speed as well as the gravity of the planet to do a sort of jump boost which would help save fuel and power XD So the approaches of location C and D are at its fastest, but Point A is it's lowest.
