Discrimination means the difference in treatment of white man and African-American man. In the excerpt, it reads "black sharecroppers were being evicted by white farmers for trying to vote." That shows that African-Americans weren't treated as equals to white people.
Change "Discrimination means the difference in treatment of people of different races". Discrimination isn't limited to just African-Americans and Caucasians.
