food label math
uhhh no
What is your question @rootbeer003 ?
Oh wait nvm! I got it xD
so for the serving i have it says 1/2 cup and the normal serving is 1/4.
what are my calories if i have 1/2 cup and 1/4 cup is 150 calories
\[\frac{ 1 }{ 4 } \times 2 = \frac{ 1 }{ 2 }\] Double it.
First. 150/1.5(1/2) And 2nd 6!
YOUR SERVING DUDE
but isnt 1/2 double of 1/4
1/2 is YOUR SERVING !!!
Trust me I did this before!!!
yea but im trying to find out my calories based off of a normal serving size
Yeah, 1/4 cup of trail mix is 150 calories. If I eat 1/2 cup of trial mix, how many calories do I take in? Double of course. Think of it this way. There is a brownie, I cut it into 4 equal pieces. Each piece is 150 calories. If I eat 1/4 of it, that's 150 calories. I eat half, its 300 calories. 2/4 = 1/2
BUT THE QUESTION SAYS: YOUR SERVING!
UGH MY CAPS LOCK ON CHROMEBOOK DRIVES ME CRAZY X3 ID KNOW HOW TO TURN IT OFF
You use the 1/4 cup serving size on the back to adjust for how much you are taking in with your own server size. Nowhere on the carton does it say that 1/2 cup of trail mix = 150 calories.
how does this look
Not good...
YES caps lock is off
@Shadow
Looks godo
I am going to leave that
GUYS! I have done this before a bunch of times!!!!
can u look over 2 move labels for me? i alrdy answered them i just need a second look
My brownie example didn't do it for you?
._.
x3
</3
One apple versus one medium apple is very confusing
Looks good though
take out a measuring glass and notice that 1/2 is double of 1/4 so u TIMES 150 by 2
yea i was confused on that one
Like is your apple smaller, or larger..? Who knows
Doesn't specify so we should just leave it.
yea
i only dont get the saturated fat one
Look at the labels for "Saturated Fat"
the percent daily value or grams
Under Total Fat
ohh does daily value mean 1 serving?
ok my guess is the apple
It means what % of the serving consists of your daily requirement of that nutrient. For example, the 20% iron in the % Daily Value aisle for the serving size of trail mix means it will provide 20% of your iron needs that day.
ohhh
If you look under "Total Fats" it will tell you about the different types of fats.
so pretty much the twists and the apple have low saturated fats
mhm
ok thank you
