Who is John Locke? What is he known for?
@Vocaloid @Shadow @kittynicole

?
John Locke was an English philosopher who was at the forefront of the Enlightenment movement. As Bob said above, he was commonly called the "Father of Liberalism." Something important to note is that the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution (Bill of Rights) was influenced by John Locke and his ideas. He believed that people had certain "natural rights" such as life, liberty, and property. Life and Liberty are mentioned in the Declaration of Independence, as certain "unalienable rights." Additionally, the 5th Amendment of the Constitution protects private property, as well as liberty (freedom) being help true in various amendments, such as the 1st (Freedom of Speech).
