What did Native Americans gain through social activism in the 1960s and early 1970s?
@justsaiyan he's not online right now but he's pretty good at history and will hopefully help when he gets a chance
no help dude
Well, the AIM Act (American Indian Movement) started to improve their life, as before their reservations were sold and they were basically used as slaves, and this act started raising their rights, and spread like wild-fire, showing that they were people as well, with dreams and aspirations. AIM activists used a variety of methods to get their message through, both non-violent and violent. Eventually, this took hold and improvements were made, such as the Education act, and several others, giving the indians the right to control their lands, and the freedom they deserved.
