Why do Astrologers get angry when I call them Astronomers and vise versa?

Astronomy: "Astronomy is a natural science that studies celestial objects and phenomena. It applies mathematics, physics, and chemistry, in an effort to explain the origin of those objects and phenomena and their evolution."

Astrology: "Astrology is the study of the movements and relative positions of celestial objects as a means for divining information about human affairs and terrestrial events."

tl;dr they aren't the same thing

they are both drastically different.

basically the reason is based on the definition. Astronomers study the stars just for pure amazement of how the universe works and to have a better understanding of our place in the sky, while as astrologers view it to see fortunes, events that can cause destruction etc. that's really all there is to it >.>

Perhaps if we look into it deeper, it's because astronomy contradict astrology. Or rather, draws attention away from it. Even more so, undermines the meaning behind astrology, saying it is more about hard science rather than fortunes and events.
