The homonyms break and brake are being used in these sentences. We are looking for a sentence which has used the wrong homonym.
Homonyms are just words that sound the same but are spelled differently. And they also have different meanings.
That is what we are looking for, someone used the wrong word. Yet they sound the same.
Janice is getting her “brakes” fixed. That makes sense. David got a “break” in his arm. That makes sense as well. Spring “break” also makes sense. But putting the “breaks” on the project?
