Solve 5 - 2x < 7. A) x < -1 B) x > -1 C) x < -12 D) x > -12

eatsalad:

First off we subtract 5 from both sides like this: 5-2x-5<7-5 solve -2x<2 multiply both sides by -1 -2x*-1>2*1 (note that the "<" sign will change when theres a negative) slove 2x>-2 Now divide both sides by 2 2x/2 >-2/2 solve (2x/2 will be crossed out and -2/2 is -1) Answer: x>-1, B
