He is similar to both of them becuase they see him as a black man who cheats and lies You can see this from the court hearing. They both know he is lying. this is what i have so far @JustSaiyan

But in truth, he is a hardworking honest man who was falsely accused of a crime. The author hints at this by describing him as humble and decent.
