not b rigth?
563blackghost:
You would use the formula:
\(\large\bf{A=\frac{1}{2} \times perimeter\times apothem}\)
So we determine the perimeter.
We know that `x = 7` we would multiply this by `7 (since there are seven sides)` to find the perimeter.
\(\large\bf{P= 7 \times 7 = 49}\)
Now we can find the area.
\(\large\bf{A=\frac{1}{2} (49)(9)}\)
Falconmaster:
okay but where is the 7th side im dumb XD
563blackghost:
Well the shape is a heptagon so it has 7 sides so to find perimeter we add up all the sides. Since one side was identified as `7cm` each side is `7cm`.
Falconmaster:
okay

XD no ill go do it
Falconmaster:
its 220
563blackghost:
The equation format above applies to every shape you would need to find the area of if you were given an apothem and side ;)
563blackghost:
Correct!
Falconmaster:
YAY i feel smart even tho you did all the work
