not b rigth?
You would use the formula: \(\large\bf{A=\frac{1}{2} \times perimeter\times apothem}\) So we determine the perimeter. We know that `x = 7` we would multiply this by `7 (since there are seven sides)` to find the perimeter. \(\large\bf{P= 7 \times 7 = 49}\) Now we can find the area. \(\large\bf{A=\frac{1}{2} (49)(9)}\)
okay but where is the 7th side im dumb XD
Well the shape is a heptagon so it has 7 sides so to find perimeter we add up all the sides. Since one side was identified as `7cm` each side is `7cm`.
okay
oh i thought it was a hexagon XD
XD
im thinking its a or d
Did you do the equation?
or would we find the are with just a and then add them?
XD no ill go do it
its 220
The equation format above applies to every shape you would need to find the area of if you were given an apothem and side ;)
Correct!
YAY i feel smart even tho you did all the work
XD
