does chicago style ask for in text citation after every sentence? if so does anyone have an example they can share?
going to say no, you would only cite something that isn't an original thought/idea http://gcd.edu/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/Chicago_Style_Example_Paper_Footnotes.pdf
I thought the same thing but my teacher said that if it is a research paper then none of the ideas are mine, but I couldn't find an example of intext citation for every sentence.
and according to her the footnotes are not intext citation
Hm, I'm not really sure what to say, I guess if your teacher wants an in-text citation for every sentence it needs to include a direct quote or paraphrased quote for every sentence + a source, although it does seem excessive when the endnotes already there
exactly!! thank you because I tried asking her for an example and she spoke as if I were slow.
