Yeah... but why exactly didn't they go along with the government? I know the New Deal was going on during this time. But why weren't they exactly agreeing with the government during this time?

it was during the great depresson so maybe they did not agree to the goverment and wanted to do stuff their own way  to survive

Thats kinda where i'm confused because I thought the new deal helped the farmers like with the AAA act. But this picture confuses me.
