Can popcorn oil and veg oil mix?

Can gasoline and water mix?

Due to the differing densities of gasoline and water, they cannot mix. Also, I recall a particular experiment from chemistry class that involved oils. Unless they have the same density, they cannot mix. This can be somewhat overcome if you don't our it in gently, then it can sink in. But for the most part, if you use a variety of oils, you'll see layers.
