did i put the right numbers?

@Shadow

Shadow:

I don't actually know this method that you're using ._.

Pixel:

._.

Pixel:

Dude does but he isnt on ;-;

Pixel:

Its factoring

Shadow:

When I solve polynomials, I just do it like this \[x^2 - 7x + 10\] \[x + ?)(x + ?)\] I run through all the factors of 10, since I need to be adding those guys to get 7, then of course multiply to get 10. Two seconds, I recall 2 and 5. Add up to be -7x when they're negative. Also when they're both negative they come out to be positive 10 when multiplied \[(x - 2)(x - 5)\]

Pixel:

okay so i got the wrong numbers

Shadow:

Why, what's supposed to be here |dw:1521143956407:dw|

Pixel:

YOu wont understand XD its my teachers way of doing this

Pixel:

hard to explain as well

Shadow:

I think I've seen it before.

Shadow:

Isn't 10 supposed to be there, then you just figure out the sides ._.

Pixel:

the number on top needs to have 2 numbers to multiply to it and the bottom needs to be able to be added by the side

Shadow:

mhm

Pixel:

Its just a visual model for it

Shadow:

And then you only play with factors that can become 10 on the side

Shadow:

?

Shadow:

Do my way. It aesthetically pleasing ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Pixel:

cant have to do it with the model ಠ_ಠ

Shadow:

No...your teacher doesn't give you points or something if you don't use it?
