(I'm not sure what level of detail would be acceptable for AP-level but) I would probably mention that G-coupled protein receptors, upon binding to ligands, separate into subunits , diffuse across the membrane, and activate adenyl cyclase which then releases many cAMP molecules which can target many proteins in the cell.

You should also mention the term "signal amplification" since it's this phenomenom in particular that allows low concentrations of receptor to result in a large cell response.

it's a good attempt so far, I would just make sure to include some relevant terminology like, there are ~receptors~ on the dendrite that bind to the neurotransmitters that are acting as chemical signals, etc. it's a little repetitive right now
