What is the difference between being alive and truly living?
Eating salad
Eating Pizza
The former is defined by anything that exists in the opposite state of death. Pretty simple. The latter is subjective, which is why you have two different answers so far. For many though, it is to find meaning in life. Some may find meaning in eating salad (or being sarcastic). For others it's a good slice of pizza. For me, it's helping people who need help.
In all seriousness though, mine is similar to shadows. I do it by a different means then he does however. I try to create something to help people, as well as helping people. Everyone's perspective on that is different slightly, from the reasons they have, to what they actually feel has meaning. One cannot simply answer what is the meaning of life? as it defers greatly from person to person, and we may never find the true answer. As they say however, its the journey that counts.
Being alive is just an act of breathing and maintaining your body to be able to function. However, truly living is the act of living for yourself. Living your dreams. If you’re truly living then you are happy and content. You have everything you want in life. Truly living when you have that house you’ve always dreamed about, that car you saw and have been dying to buy. That girl/guy you wished beyond the stars would notice you. Truly living is when you are the utmost happy. Being alive is simply a state of mind. I know I'm late but oh well.
