or shadow can help

Shadow:

You are putting in y = my + b into the text box?

Shadow:

Y = my + b

Shadow:

Holy mobile

Shadow:

Y = mx + b

simplysadie:

Sorry but you're confusing me even more

Shadow:

Try y = 2x + 5

simplysadie:

thats wrong it doesnt even go close to the platform thing

Shadow:

meant y = 1/2x + 5

simplysadie:

that was the correct answer. Please explain to me how you did that

Shadow:

Plane intercepts the y axis at 5. So we start there, then we need the slope of the runway. I used the dashed line on the runway to determine it's slope. I found one point on the line, then looked at another point on the line. (10,10) and (12, 11) illustrates this well. It rose by 1, then ran by 2.

Shadow:

Slope = rise/run Therefore y = 1/2x + 5

simplysadie:

thanks
