Description Amber shared her photo with 3 people. They continued to share it, so the number of shares increases every day as shown by the function. Ben shared his post with 2 friends. Each of those friends shares with 3 more every day, so the number of shares triples every day. Carter shared his post with 10 friends, who each share with only 2 people each day.

How many friends does he originally share it with?
How many friends do each of those friends share it to?

Those are two numbers, figure out where they go in the equation and make sure it's right by plugging in the numbers they gave you.

You just plug it in for x and then whatever f(x) is. Basically that becomes f(3) because you replaced x with 3. But we want to know the value of f(3) so whatever is on the other side of the equal sign has to be simplified.
