shasha12:

A florist has 72 red and 40 white roses. If the florist creates the greatest number of identical bouquets with a combination of red and white roses without any roses leftover, how many white roses are in each bouquet? A)3 B)5 C)7 D)8

shasha12:

@Shadow

shasha12:

I think the answer might be 5 or 8

Shadow:

Do you know what the GCD is?

shasha12:

the GCD is 8

Shadow:

So divide both by the GCD and you will get how many of each type of flower, in each bouquet.

shasha12:

thanks

shasha12:

for 72 it is 9, and 40 is 5. So i'm confused

shasha12:

I'm just going to go with 5

Shadow:

That means that in each of the bouquets, there are five white roses. In total, there are eight bouquets

shasha12:

oh ok thanks
