RawlsK29:

Can someone explain to me how to do this... 2(x −3) + 5x = 4x −15

RawlsK29:

@dude @NOpanda14

EndersWorld:

Distribute the “2” to the inside of the parentheses

RawlsK29:

2x - 6 + 5x = 4x - 15

EndersWorld:

Add 6 to both sodes

RawlsK29:

2x + 5x = 4x - 21

EndersWorld:

Combine like terms

RawlsK29:

7x = 4x - 21... Subtract 4x from both sides now?

EndersWorld:

7x=4x-21 then you will subtract 4x

EndersWorld:

Which leaves you with 3x=-21 then you divide by 3 to get x=?

RawlsK29:

Okay soo... 3x = -21 sooo its -7

EndersWorld:

Correct. x=-7 is your final answer

RawlsK29:

Thank You!!(:

EndersWorld:

Of course, tag me if you got more. I’m not good at all math, but this is my specialty.
