Alright so this will be 1/5 of the f(x) graph because it literally says that f(x) = x^2 and g(x) is (1/5x)^2. I'm not too sure how to help you to this problem as they do not give you any other information, unless there is more outside of the screenshot. Is there?
the rest of the screen is just a graph because i have to graph it as a parabola
Alright. So since this is 1/5 of f(x), it's going to be 5x more spaced out. Does this make sense?
but i dont know how to graph it
Alright. So if y=1 on f(x), what does x =?
I'm going to help you through this.
5?
That would be what it would be on g(x)
On your graph, f(x), when y=1 x also = 1
Since the 1/5 is right next to the x, it gets applied to the horizontal axis (x)
im still confused on where to put the point
That is the g(x) graph.
The point (vertex) will stay where it is
The second point will be placed on (5,1), since g(x) is spaced out 5x more than f(x)
Exactly
thank you so much
