this is a memorization based question, but a short circuit happens when there is a great excess of current caused by a sudden decrease in resistance (D)

are you familiar with the definitions of series circuits vs parallel circuits?
zarkam21:
Could you just go over the definition and difference

So C?

Vocaloid:
notice how series are all on the same main wire while parallel circuits have their circuit elements arranged in a parallel set of wires
so yeah C

Vocaloid:
not quite, since these resistors are in series you just need to add them up, so 10 + 20 + 30 = 60 ohms

charge per second = current, so we are looking for ammeters which must be in series so A+B (answer choice C)

I think that's it too (not sure but that's my best guess too)

Vocaloid:
that's a good attempt but not quite
you need to calculate the total resistance by adding up the resistance and calculate the current based on that, since all resistors in series have equal current

Vocaloid:
80 is the resistance not the current
V = IR, if voltage is 120 and resistance is 80 what's the current?
