jonathan5654:

4. George flips a colored chip that is red on one side and black on the other a total of 20 times. What is the probability of the 21th flip resulting in landing on the black side up?

Vocaloid:

keep in mind the first 20 flips have no effect on the 21st flip for a two-sided coin (one red one black) what would be the probability of landing on black?

jonathan5654:

im confused

Vocaloid:

there are two total outcomes (red and black) so the probability of black is just 1/2

jonathan5654:

is that the answer??

Vocaloid:

yes
