A

Vocaloid:

hm. that's strange. A has 3 resistors in parallel, but if we look at the answer choices both B and D have two resistors in parallel unless I'm not counting them correctly

zarkam21:

I think you are counting them correctly?

Vocaloid:

oh duh I know why D is not it, since the circuits on the left are in series with each other this would technically count as 2 circuits in parallel with 1 circuit for 3 total circuits, making B the better option

Vocaloid:

*circuits on the outer loop

Power?

good

you may be mixing up the definitions of direct current and alternating current

NOt sure about this one :/

Vocaloid:

to have the same voltage the two resistors must be in parallel so which looks like the best option?

zarkam21:

D

good

keep in mind these are parallel resistors so you cannot simply add them up this time formula for total resistance 1/total resistance = 1/R + 1/R...etc. so start by finding 1/R + 1/R... for the four resistors and then take the reciprocal of the sum to find the total resistance

A

good

Vocaloid:

for resistors in parallel, voltage must be the same, what's another way to describe/say voltage?

zarkam21:

D

Vocaloid:

hm, not quite, D would be resistance not voltage

zarkam21:

C

zarkam21:

well they give off the same current

Vocaloid:

C would be current which is not the same for resistors in parallel (it would have to be series for the currents to be equal) another way to say voltage is potential difference making A the best option.

zarkam21:

D

Vocaloid:

keep in mind this is a paralell circuit so you cannot add up the resistances 1/total resistance = 1/R + 1/R + 1/R

zarkam21:

B

Vocaloid:

awesome.

zarkam21:

I would divide?

Vocaloid:

P = IV you just need to multiply current * potential difference

zarkam21:

B

Vocaloid:

0.2 * 12 = ?

zarkam21:

Ugh im sorry i dont even know what I was doing, Its c Duh
