Why do you think people were so excited to have their photographs taken when photography was first invented? Do you think you would have reacted in the same way?

People were so excited because it was something new to them.  They wanted to try it out and have a photograph of their family, not only was it new, but it dramatically cut the time it took for a family photograph.   Personally, myself.  I would have reacted the same way.   I would have wanted a family picture like everyone else.
