Question

While at work, Joe asked Dana to show him how to change the copier paper. Joe kept working as she explained the process, and the next time the paper needed to be changed, Joe didn't do it correctly. What could Joe have done first to be a better active listener?

He could have asked clarifying questions to make sure he understood.
He could have stopped what he was doing to give Dana his full attention.
He could have restated what she said in his own words.
He could have looked up how to change the paper on the Internet.

Well, he could have obviously placed all his attention towards Dana so that he'd learn how to correctly change the copier paper, as should any individual do to someone who is teaching them anything.
