FTA refers to the Free Trade Agreement between Canada and the United States, which mainly had the effect of reducing tariffs, or taxes, on trade between the two nations, making trade cheaper and encouraging trade between the two. It's kind of hard to answer the question without any options, but I would hazard as a guess, something along the lines of greater access to American goods for Canadians or maybe growth in the Canadian economy? Larger Canadian GDP? An increase in spending and consumption?
