SAT Test Prep!
People probably know about this, but the SAT is tomorrow (Or April 10th of 2018) for high school students! I just wanted to give younger students a chance to skip ahead and know more about the SAT, not that your teachers probably yell at you everyday because of it x.x

So for starters, what you need to bring: These might be outdated, but you have to bring -admission ticket -school ID -photo ID -2 pencils (tbh have more because I broke one pencil out of stress and another one I got mad at the really annoying eraser tops they need to fix tbh. -calculator (don't risk putting any cheat sheets. But if you want to know how, dm me ;-)) -any emergency stuff. I needed my diabetes kit for my diabetes when I took my SAT. They give you time for that.
I also brought some items that they don't yell at you for, but not needed: (sometimes they need to shut up) -FOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD and water. -I bought a backpack to stuff my SAT stuff in it. -They yelled at me for this. A NON BEEPING WATCH. NO FITBIT NO APPLE WATCH NO NOTHING.
I mean tbh, if you had common sence, you would not bring these things, but don't bring any electronic stuff or just normal things you would not be able to bring on in an actual test in school. This student brought her phone to her SAT room, and rung in class. We didn't get in trouble or get tests voided, but she was carried out of class. Don't be her :P
sense*
You took the SAT (ಥ ͜ʖಥ)
Yes. ;) To be honest, I think her SAT test scores were voided. She was not my classmate or anything, but she went to other SAT session days. x.x
Some random crap people say: Good luck, and I say it with love <3 SATs are for some people very important, and alot of strict parents yell at their student to do better. I had an Indian friend and she got yelled at for getting a 1390 or something on her SAT ): The SAT is not something that is easy. It assesses your improvement in high school studies. The SAT is for everybody. As long as you are in Algebra 2 by Junior Year, you should do fine in the Math portion. The English portion is all up to you because some people think differerntly.
It might be too late, because I said to not cram earlier. But Take one or two practice tests to make your body used to how many energy you are going to use on your test.
By the way the english portion is sooooo boring so do not go to sleep, no joke.
Types of questions there are: Evidence-Based Reading: Reading Comprehension The Critical Reading test now includes both long and short reading passages. Skim each passage to see what it’s about. Don’t worry about the details — you can always look them up later if you need to. Just look for the main ideas. Then tackle the questions that direct you straight to the answer by referring you to a specific line in the passage. If you have time afterward, you can try solving the harder questions. Evidence-Based Writing: Multiple-Choice Questions There are three types of multiple-choice writing questions on the SAT. The first group, Improving Sentences, tasks you with selecting the correct version – the one that is clearly written and grammatically correct — of an underlined portion of a sentence. Sentence Error questions ask you to figure out which part of a sentence contains an error. Those on Improving Paragraphs test your ability to organize and clarify information. For all of these question types, think about the simplest, clearest way to express an idea. If an answer choice sounds awkward or overly complicated, chances are good that it’s wrong. Math: Multiple-Choice Questions As you work through the multiple-choice math questions, you’ll be given reference information (formulas and facts), but you’ll need to know how to use them. In part of this section, you’re allowed to use a calculator, but it won’t help you unless you know how to approach the problems. If you’re stuck, try substituting numbers for variables. You can also try plugging in numbers from the answer choices. Start with the middle number. That way, if it doesn’t work, you can strategically choose one that’s higher or lower.
Before the day: Take some few practice tests, but refrain from actually learning new things. Your brain ain't capable of that x.x Eat well, do whatever makes you calm.
Sleep alot. Try to get at least 7-8 hours of sleep. Don't even think about studying overnight. I will be watching over you and I will go to your house and run over you if you do that.
Morning: Get a variety of nutrients in your system. Don't study, but always try to remember what you did.
The reason why I say to not overstudy is because your brain is already tired and knowing too much can actually make you forget things.
Again, like I said, for math, study only up until Algebra 2. Get that precalc shiz out of here. (:
Also: One tip I came in handy is this: Before the test, pick between the letters A-D on which will be your guess choice. If you have no idea what the answer is, it is better to pick one choice over and over again. It will earn you more points.
Any questions ;P Oh also, some people who took the PSAT can link their PSAT scores to their Khan Academy account. That feature was not there or did not know when I took it ._. and they can see what parts they do wrong. <----highly recommended!
Oh also. SAT MEMES!
bring back bad luck brian
Good luck lovelies <33333
