It's basically a group formed in order to influence public opinion and/or policy. So a prominent example of this is the NRA (National Rifle Association). They seek to influence public opinion about guns (thus their current run of advertisements on YouTube) and policy (by donating to politicians such as Marco Rubio).

The job involves training and teaching hundreds of thousands of individuals annually about how to properly handle firearms as well as why it is important to have them.

Pistol, rifle, shotgun, self-defense, and safety courses are required.
Extensive training is required as well
h. What is your best qualification for this job?
I think I do good with courses online because that is what I am taking now and that is one of the qualifications that NRA requires. It requires you to take some online courses

2. What appeals to you most about this interest group? What would you accomplish by working for it?
What appeals to me about this interest group is the extensive training that is needed in order to use a gun. I think I would accomplish this negative images that guns have. There is such a stereotype in the world about how “bad” guns are just because of some individual who chose to use them in the wrong way. I want to learn to use them as a self-defense mechanism and understand that a gun can be to my own benefit, it can save your life if used in the right way.

"scientific purposes" is pretty vague. Also, the typical stance is for self defense.

h. What is your best qualification for this job?
The online school aspect is interesting, but if you could think of another qualification that's personal to you (family members in military, know the value of guns, seen how to properly use them before, parents/other family/friends are gun owners)

2. What appeals to you most about this interest group? What would you accomplish by working for it?
Again, their typical stance is self defense. I assume you're female, and in high school. Something you could consider is the appeal of having a gun for self defense, since sexual assault in college is something that the media talks about, and does happen. Guns are one of the best forms of self defense. Pepper spray can be blocked, but bullets can't.

If the college/state you're in doesn't allow guns in such a manner, then perhaps just home defense then.
