Well, I was on a carrier, we didn't really fight much, however, it was sad whenever I would help launch a plane and the plane didn't come back. I didn't cope with it as much as I should have. I just knew they died heroes.

It was horrible. Wives, sons and daughters, moms and dads, brothers. It was sad, if I knew the people who died, I would help the families in any way I could, or at least give them my condolences.
